On Saturday, October 6, 2012, the 11th annual community health fair in Irving was held by BAPS Charities. They believe in the importance of education and prevention regarding health care. Being a General Dentist, Family Dentistry of Frisco (www.fdfrisco.com), I have a passion for dental education and helping the community to increase awareness about dental and general health. That’s why I volunteered as dental lead for this event, having the assistance of my amazing team. Together with other professionals such as physicians, pharmacists and nurses, we were able to serve over 1,200 people of Dallas Fortworth and surrounding communities.
Not only adults received consultations and examinations. Also the children were served as they were taught how to live healthy lives and how to preserve general hygiene. We provided dental screenings and oral hygiene instruction for both adults and children. Since we were expanding our services, we approached the Henry Schein Cares Foundation for support. They were so gracious to donate dental health screening kits and diabetic monitoring kits. All at BAPS Charities and Family Dentistry of Frisco (www.fdfrisco.com) are grateful for this tremendously helpful donation.
We were thrilled to have the support of Henry Schein Cares Foundation, they really did a fantastic job, we also appreciate the assistance of all the dentists and dental ancillary staff that came and gave their time to help with this wonderful health fair. I was simply touched by the support of my staff and colleagues.
Family Dentistry of Frisco (www.fdfrisco.com) would like to sincerely thank the Henry Schein Cares Foundation and its team for their assistance!
