Ghana Mission Trip July 2012

Our organization, through this mission trip, was reaching out to populations that flee their home country torn by war and political turmoil. We sent a 20-foot cargo container full of food, clothing and medicines to help the refugees in Ghana. Part of our goal was to deliver dental care in refugee camps. It did not happen due to last minutes administrative huddles. Agreeing with the Ghana Refugee Board and the UNHCR, the distribution of the donations was targeting the most vulnerable groups (pregnant and nursing women, children, chronically ills, the elderly …) due to the fact that a blanket distribution will fall short. The medicine and the dental supply will be used in the onsite clinics. We plan a follow up trip to provide dental care.

Special Thanks to Henry Schein Cares Foundation to provide the essential health supplies for this trip
