For the past fifteen years, Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic has tirelessly served over 600 children annually. While primarily serving those who are uninsured, Kemple Clinic advocates for the appropriate care of all children throughout Central Oregon, which encompasses three counties. Entirely supplied by community donations, in-kind supply, and service donations, the Kemple Clinic utilizes the support of dental professional volunteers to conduct off-site dental screenings in local schools and community venues. This includes a “screen and seal” process that assesses childrens’ oral health and, when necessary, applying dental sealants to six and twelve year molars. Dental treatments ranging from routine screenings and cleanings at the Kemple Clinic to more extensive care are also conducted in the offices of volunteer dentists. With the help of Henry Schein, Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic has been able to reach and service children throughout Central Oregon.
